The COVID-19 outbreak has resulted in substantial changes to how we travel. If you're flying to Inishowen, these tips will help you navigate these new rules and challenges:

• Before booking your flight, find out if any travel restrictions apply — in both your destination and origin. Keep informed with the latest updates by reviewing government travel advisories.
• Requirements state that you must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at screening checkpoints. Be ready to lower your mask for ID verification when asked.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee. Instead, position your pass on the scanner and then hold it up to allow the agent to visually inspect it.
• TSA now allows passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will have to be removed from your bag and submitted for screening.
• To reduce handling during screening, put items such as your loose change and phone into your carry-on instead of into the bins.
• Transport your food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Keeping your food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA agent will need to open your bag for inspection.

• Aer Lingus - this airline is known for providing passenger masks and cleaning with disinfectant.
